Esther retired from RACO. She was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and a member of Rosary Society and Sisters Auxiliary. Esther enjoyed playing cards and going to the Casino. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake. She loved her family very much, she loved when the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren visited. She also loved hearing stories about the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a fantastic memory and you never had to tell her twice. She enjoyed watching Notre Dame sports and the Indianapolis Colts. She would change the channel if they were losing, but always kept peeking back. Esther always opened her home and welcomed all her children's friends and her own friends with open arms and an open heart.

Esther absolutely loved children. Over the years, the neighborhood children were always given a special treat on holidays. Mom always made breakfast and made sure everything was "perfect" and in place for the annual Memorial Day parade. If she knew you 20 minutes or 20 years, she welcomed you. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Police Officers who helped rescue mom from the house. They would also like to thank St. Joseph Hospital Burn Unit in Ft. Wayne for their tremendous care and support.
