Arthur E. Uitdenhowen

Arthur E. Uitdenhowen, 42, of 505 Kosciuszko St., died in Memorial Hospital at 4 a.m. today after a 10-day illness. He was born in South Bend on April 24, 1923..

He married the former Doris Murray in South Bend. She survives. Other survivors are his father, Gustaf Uitdenhowen, of South Bend, four sons, Eric, Mark, Scott and Todd, and three daughters. Candy, Starr and Mira, all of South Bend; a half-sister, . Mrs. Mary Wall, South Bend, two half-brothers, Rene Baetsle, of South Bend and August Baetsle of Mishawaka.

Mr. Uitdenhowen had been a switchman for the New York Central System for the last four years.

Friends may call in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home from noon Thursday until the time of services there at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Ray Bird will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Uitdenhowen was a member of the Belgian Volskring and the Fur and Fin Club
