STEPHANIE M. SCAIFE
July 10, 1968 - July 2, 2012
SOUTH BEND - Stephanie Monique Scaife, who resided on Woodmont Drive, South Bend, Indiana, departed from this life at the age of 43 on Monday, July 2, 2012, in her residence. Stephanie was born in Marvell, Arkansas on July 10, 1968 to the union of Ray and Dorothy (Reynolds) Scaife. In that same year, the family moved to South Bend, coming from Marvell.
She graduated in the class of 1986 from Washington High School where she played basketball and track. Stephanie was employed in retail sales at Wal-Mart. Among her favorite hobbies were spending time with family and friends, dancing, singing, mentoring people in the neighborhood and entertaining guests, both children and adults.
Those who survive to mourn her loss include three daughters, Rickeshia Wear, Lenquece Lipsey and Shydae Scaife; one son, JeVon Boyd, all of South Bend; three grandchildren, Ki`Lynn Henderson, Ki`Leah Henderson and Kamari Scaife; her parents, Ray and Dorothy Scaife of South Bend; one sister, Sonya Scaife of Indianapolis, IN; four brothers, Raven Keith Scaife , Fred Scaife and Derrick Scaife, all of South Bend and Kevin Scaife of Indianapolis, IN; grandfather, Fred Scaife; goddaughter, Mary Sunshine Johnson; godson, Shamar Hawkins, a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nellie Scaife, her uncle, Terry Scaife and a cousin, Rodney Harris.
Funeral services for Ms. Scaife will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Pentecostal Cathedral Church of God in Christ with viewing occurring one hour prior to services.
