David Michael Stone
David Michael Stone, 67, of Costa Mesa, California, passed away on June 10, 2023, in his home surrounded by family and friends.
Dave was born in South Bend, Indiana to Nancy and Jack Stone on March 7, 1956. He graduated from Washington High School in 1974 and was part of the 1973 State Championship football team.
After graduating high school and attending University, Dave relocated to the West Coast where he began an extremely successful sales career that spanned over 4 decades. It was in this career, he met the love of his life, Laurie.
Dave was a passionate and loving man in his personal and professional life, making many friends who he held near and dear to his heart. He enjoyed many things in life such as coaching Little League, weekend BBQ's, playing golf, living by the beach, visiting Maui, and spending time with the ones he loved. Dave also was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.
Dave is survived by his son, Jake Stone, and Jake's fiancée Emily Leahy. Also surviving are his brothers Robert Stone, Thomas (Becky) Stone, mother-in-law Carol Hansen, brother and sister-in-law Todd (Carla) Hansen. As well as Jake's in-laws, the Leahy family. Dave is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie Hansen Stone, Dave's parents Jack and Nancy Stone, and sister Beth Anne Stone.
