Patty (Lula) Freehling

November 21, 1955 ~ July 28, 2023 (age 67)

Patty Jean Freehling 67, of South Bend, Indiana passed away July 28, 2023. She was born on November 21, 1955, in South Bend to the parents of Bert and Kathleen Lula. Patty graduated from Washington High School and would further her education at Ivy Tech State College.

She worked for many years in retail and customer service. She Loved giving back and helping people, having a big heart she found her calling in the Nursing field working in at-home healthcare. Spending time with her eight grandchildren was the joy she found in life. Reading, knitting, and worshiping with Granger Community Church (Monroe Circle Community Center Campus/MC3). The faith, courage, and joy she demonstrated was one of a kind and will be missed by many including her Son Terrence Lula, Mother Kathleen Lula, eight grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: Bert Lula, Siblings: Joseph Lula and Nancy Lambert and Son: Erin Smith. The family will have a gathering together at a later date. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to www.boydandsonfuneralhome.com where condolences may be shared.
