Andrew L. Williams

Andrew Lynn Williams of South Bend, IN was born on October 29, 1957, to the union of Millard J. Williams Sr, and Earlene R. (West) Kilgore. Andrew "Drew" was a 1977 graduate of South Bend Washington High School where he was an avid wrestler and was a part of the 1977 sectional wrestling team. Andrew earned the name TAZ as a wrestler, because once on the mat he would spin his opponent around and pin them so fast they didn't know what happened to them until they were on their backs. Andrew's hobbies included cooking, fishing, watching westerns, and Sanford and Son. Andrew loved the Dallas Cowboys and ND Fighting Irish football team.

Andrew is survived by his son Malik Williams, two brothers Millard J. Williams, Jr. and Glenn E. Williams Sr. Four sisters, Deborah J. Williams, Regina (Robert) Nance, Kimberly K. Kilgore and Tina L. (Darrin) Taylor, along with an exceptional host of relatives and friends who loved him, and a Special Aunt Lestene W. Pettus.

Andrew was preceded in death by his Father Millard J. Williams Sr., Mother and stepfather Earlene R. and Jerry A. Kilgore, and a sister Carolyn Patterson. Maternal grandparents Silas L. West Sr. and Annie Mae (Harley) Vinson. Paternal grandparents Georgia Bell Williams and Y.B Williams. Uncles Clinton Ray West, Nathaniel Lee West, Herman West, Silas L. West Jr., and Y.B Williams, Jr and Dan West. Aunts, Linda A. Green, Jewel Sessom. Hazel Neely, and Mattie Corner along with some precious nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Westbend Rehab and nursing home, Morningview Assisted Living, Cardinal Nursing Home, Heart to Heart Hospice care and Memorial Hospital.
