SOUTH BEND - Paul Robert Taylor, 53, passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, in his residence. Paul was born on August 15, 1957, in South Bend, to the late Harry L. and Dorothy (Wasowski) Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Thomas Taylor, and by his sister, Karen Taylor. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Karen Taylor of South Bend; two brothers, Mark Taylor of South Bend and Terry Taylor of South Bend; and by his former wife, Sandra Taylor of South Bend.

Paul was a graduate of Washington High School.

He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of the Usher and Lector Club at Holy Family. He worked at Lock Joint Tube for 16 years and was an usher at Notre Dame for 30 years. He ran in the 5K Sunburst for many years. Paul was an avid Notre Dame and White Sox fan. He always enjoyed stories and shows about ghosts and other supernatural phenomena.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, IN 46619. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery.
