Roberto T. Salazar, 46, beloved son, brother and uncle of South Arnold Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 12:51 am. on Saturday, April 3, in Memorial Hospital. He was born on Oct. 7, 1957, in Hammond, Ind., to Jesus and Tina Salazar. Roberto is survived by his parents, Jesus and Tina Salazar; sisters, Alicia (Charles) Myers of Mishawaka, Ind., Gloria (Freddy) Fuentes of South Bend and Angie Perez of Mishawaka; brothers, Juan (Sonny) Salazar of Mary Ester, Fla., Jessie Salazar of South Bend and Joey Salazar of South Bend; nephews and nieces, Pete David Parec, Chad Aaron Parez, Anstacio Fuentes Jr., Jinju Salazar, Juan Salazar Jr., Jessica Salazar and Joel Salazar. 

He belonged to St. Casimir Church, the Married Men's Club at St. Casimir and Z. B. Falcon. He ushered at Notre Dame football games for over 10 years. He was very crafty, and helped with crafts at Camp Millhouse. Roberto made jewelry, pottery and could paint. He enjoyed coin collecting, collected comic books, and loved Jim Croce music. Bobby was very much loved by his family, and we will miss him until we can be with him.

There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 12, in St. Casimir Church. The St. Joseph Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
