Beverly Millsaps July 12, 1958 - Jan. 12, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Ms. Beverly Jane Millsaps, age 56, passed away at 12:35 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN. Beverly was born July 12, 1958 in South Bend, IN, to James Beverly Ford & Anna Jane (Atkins) Millsaps Sr., who both preceded her in death.
A 1976 Washington High School graduate, she then furthered her education at Ivy Tech where she received a license in practical nursing. She worked at Memorial Hospital 13 years as an LPN, retiring in 1986.
She was a member of Elizabeth Memorial Church of God in Christ, & her passions were getting together with friends and family, traveling, and taking care of children.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include two sisters, Kimberly June (Thomas) Ross and Yolanda Jean Millsaps, both of South Bend, IN; two brothers, James Beverly Ford (Louise) Millsaps of Elkhart, IN, & Steven Allen (Cyneatha) Millsaps of Markham, IL; one uncle, Pierce Allen (Jane) Atkins of Elkhart, IN; a special nephew, Dontrell M. Newman; along with a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. today, January 16, 2015, at Pentecostal Cathedral Church of God in Christ, with burial following at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Viewing will occur from 11:00 a.m., to 12:00 p.m. at Pentecostal Cathedral COGIC. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alford's Mortuary. www.AlfordsMortuaryinc.com
