Cynthia Ann Heritz, 42, of Regency Place of South Bend, Ind., passed away at 12:40 p.m. .p w on Sunday, J March 21, in the nursing home. Cynthia was born on Dec. 30, 1956, in South Bend, to Ella Jean (Baer) and Charles O. Heritz, Sr.

She is survived by three daughters, Heather (Jeffrey) Kaniewski of South Bend, Alyson Alerding of Osceola, Ind., and Jennifer Alerding of South Bend; two granddaughters, Hannah and Brooklyn; her father, Charles O. Heritz, Sr., of South Bend; two sisters, Cheryl (Robert) Pejza of South Bend and Deborah (Robert) Hollingsworth of Osceola; and by a brother, Charles O. (Michelle) Heritz, Jr., of South Bend.

Cynthia was a 1975 graduate of Washington High School.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home chapel, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, with Rev. D. Richard Stuckwisch, pastor of Emmaus Lutheran Church, officiating. Entombment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home.
