MARSHALL J. LINDSEY

June 11, 1959 - June 2, 2008
SOUTH BEND - Marshall John Lindsey, 48, passed away on June 3, 2008, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, the death followed a brief illness. Mr. Marshall John Lindsey, a long life resident of South Bend, IN attended South Bend Junior Academy.

He then attended Washington High School and IUSB.

Marshall met Maretta Brinson in 1979 and they wed June 10, 1980. To this union was born Candace (Otay) Hicks and Sheria Lindsey, both of South Bend. Marshall leaves to cherish his memory two grandsons, La'Zayvior and La'Trevion King and a granddaughter, Mariyah Hicks. Three godchildren, Kem Williams, Benjamin and Brianna Adkins; two sisters-in-law, Laverne (Issac) Hadley and Eva Marie Brinson-Davis; three nieces, Tearra Wright, Charisse Wardlow and Towana Brinson; a nephew, Maurice Thompson, all of South Bend; two aunts, Betty (Eugene) Williams and Jenny Faye Olive, both of South Bend; three uncles, James Lee Byrd, James Lewis and Jimmie Byrd, all of South Bend; and a host of other relatives and friends. Marshall leaves to cherish a very special friend, Veronica Adkin; and a special cousin, Dawn Horst, both of South Bend.

Marshall enjoyed riding his motorcycle and being a member of the Tough Rider Motorcycle Club. Marshall was, fondly known as "Moscow"

Marshall was preceded in death by his wife, Marietta Lindsey; father, John Lindsey; mother Edna Lindsey; and four brothers, Vegan and Lionel Bollings, Richard Short and Robert Willis.

Marshall was born into the Seventh day Adventist Ministry and was baptized at an early age. On June 1, 2008, Marshall requested to be baptized again. Services for Mr. Marshall John Lindsey will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7 in the Berean Seventh Day Adventist Church, 601 W. Colfax St., where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will follow funeral services at Highland Cemetery. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
