Leona D. (Kush) Reed
Leona D. Reed, 49, of 1976 Renfrew, died at 12:30 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Prior to her illness she was employed by Lockhart and Beach Co. She was born on March 25, 1930, in South Bend and lived here all her life.
On May 24, 1958, in South Bend, she married Robert L. Reed, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Susan and Sandra Reed at home; two sons, Steven and Scott Reed at home; her mother, Mrs. Violet Kush of South Bend; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann McGovern of Lisle, Ill., and Mrs. Patricia Roberts of South Bend.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Matthew Cathedral, with Most Rev. Joseph R. Crowley, Bishop, officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home. A parish rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may he made to the American Cancer Society.
