Kathleen Loraine “Kitty” Jacobsen Versyp

Kathleen L. "Kitty" Versyp, 69, of Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton, IN, formerly of Quince Road, Plymouth, IN., passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Friday, June 23, in the center after an illness. Mrs. Versyp was born on November 3, 1930, in St. Joseph County, IN, as the daughter of the late Gilbert and Roxie (Heim) Jacobsen.

On February 4, 1950, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, as the former Kathleen L. Jacobsen, she married Robert M. Versyp. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1991. Mrs. Versyp leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Sharon Versyp of Orono, Maine and Roxanne (John) Einhorn of Plymouth, IN; one son, Michael (Jennifer) Versyp of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Casandra Einhorn, Mark Einhorn, Scott Versyp and Benjamin Versyp; one step-sister, Dorothy (Milo) Jacobsen of Mishawaka.

Mrs. Versyp was employed by Mishawaka Furniture and the R.V. Industry, retiring in 1992.

Friends may call on Sunday, June 25th, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass will be held Monday, June 26th, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, where she was a member. Rev. James Shafer will officiate and burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial Contributions in memory of Versyp may be made to the American Cancer Society 535 W. Edison, Unit #6 Mishawaka, IN 46545, or to the Riley's Children's Research Hospital, 701 Barnhill, Indianapolis, IN 46223.
