Joan L (Guzowski) Marshall

Sept. 30, 1930 - June 28. 2004 

Joan "Jody" L. Marshall, 73, loving wife and mother of Lake Wales, Fla., formerly of South Bend, Md., passed away at 10:14 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2004. She was born on Sept. 30, 1930, in South Bend, to John and Louis (Sobolewski) Guzowski, who preceded her in death, along with two sisters, Henrietta Zakrowski and Katherine Reitz.

Joan is survived by her husband of 52 years, Wayne "Red" Marshall; two children, Tommy Marshall and Teena (Bob) Mack; six grandchildren, Jeff (Ame) Marshall, Kimberly Marshall, Andrea Marshall, Matthew Marshall, Gavin Mack and Kaelan Mack; and one great-grandchild, Jenna Marshall. Two surviving sisters are Carol (Howard) Siderits and Mary (Richard) Robb.

Formerly of South Bend, she retired from Uniroyal Plastics Corporation where she had been employed for 32 years. Joan was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. She loved polka music, and enjoyed taking cruises and traveling with her family.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 6, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 7, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
