JEROME GORALCZYK OBITUARY

SOUTH BEND - Jerome E. Goralczyk, 83, passed away at 8:25 am Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, in his residence surrounded by his family. Jerome was born June 18, 1929, in South Bend, to the late Steve and Stella Goralczyk. Jerome was also preceded in death by brothers, Matthew and Joseph Goralczyk; sisters, Theresa Schneider and Regina Weisel.

On April 7, 1956, in St. Casimir Catholic Church, Jerome married Mardell (Davis), who survives along with children, Michael J. Goralczyk (Kimberly) of South Bend and Stephen E. (Sandra) of Manhattan, KS; grandchildren, Michael Jr., Lauren and Ryan Goralczyk.

Jerome was a parishioner of St. Casimir Catholic Church. He retired from Sibley Machine and Foundry as an accountant.

Jerome was a graduate of Washington High School where he played basketball and baseball. Jerome was an avid Cubs fan and an all-around sports fan.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, August 12, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, August 13, 2012, in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
