Clarence E. Filipski

Clarence E. Filipski, 86 of Granger, IN, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka, IN with his loving family at his bedside.

Clarence was born on August 29, 1928 in South Bend, IN to Anthony and Helen (Babacz) Filipski. On August 13, 1955 he married the former Lorraine Korpal. They would have celebrated their 60th anniversary this August.

He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He was a member of St. Pius X Parish. Clarence was a driver/salesman for Kreamo Bakery, retiring after 32 years of service in 1990.

Clarence is survived by his wife Lorraine, their children: Kathryn (Richard) Kuhlmann, Karen Filipski and Michael (Bridget) Filipski; their three grandchildren Anthony Filipski, Jessica Filipski and Daniel Filipski. He is also survived by his sister Eleanor Verosky and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends from 2:00-4:00pm at the McGann Hay Funerals | Cremations | Gatherings, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd. Services will be at 4:00pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association or donors preference.
