Eugene Vincent Brekrus

May 21,1930 - June 25, 1990

SOUTH BEND — Services for Eugene Vincent Brekrus, 60, of 121S. Kaley St., who died about 9 p.m Monday at Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack, will be at 10 am. Friday at St Adalbert's Catholic Church.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, where Veterans of Foreign Wars Golden Hill Post 8748 will conduct military services. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Mr. Brekrus retired in 1986 as an inspector for Bendix Corp. after 39 years of service. He was born May 21, 1930, In South Bend and was a lifelong area resident

He is survived by a brother, Bernard of St. Louis; two nieces, Mary Beth Nahon and Barbara Morrow, both of St Louis; a nephew, Bernie of St Louis; and a friend, Louis Rozek of South Bend.

He was a member of M.R. Falcons, Z.B. Conservation Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8748, Bend's Local 9 of the United Auto Workers union, and the church.
