Janet A. (Bartkowiak) Thilman

Janet A. Thilman, 40, of 1514 D, Fox St., died at 2:45 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a three-week illness. She was employed by the Mr. Fresh Dairy Store for seven years. She was born July 8, 1930, in South Bend. As Janet Bartkowiak, she was married to Robert L. Thilman on Oct. 1, 1949, in South Bend. He survives with her mother, Mrs. Marie Bartkowiak of South Bend, a son, Michael Robert and a daughter, Susan Marie, both at home and three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Skarbek, Mrs. Lorraine Pace and Mrs. Patricia Cain, all of South Bend.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9p.m. Sunday in Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Matthew's Cathedral with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph R. Crowley officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Mrs. Thilman was a member of the Ladies Rosary Society at St. Casimer's Catholic Church. A parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
