Norman E. Woltman, 88, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 5:17 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2018, in Memorial Hospital. Norman was born on September 26, 1929 in South Bend, to the late Casimir and Lottie (Dalka) Woltman. He had previously been employed as an accountant with the University of Notre Dame, Redi Froz, and the Studebaker Corporation.

On May 21, 1955, he married Erna (Birschitzky) Woltman, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Dianne (Robert Van Wiele) Woltman of Mishawaka, Indiana and Nancy (Roger Kahler) Woltman of South Bend, Indiana; one brother-in-law, Ted (Joan) Birch of South Bend, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Tulip.

Norman was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Woltman; his sister-in-law, Wanda Woltman; and his dog, Khloee.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2018 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 3526 St. Johns Way, South Bend, Indiana, 46628. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Norman was a United States Army Veteran.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan. He enjoyed watching Notre Dame Football and Notre Dame Basketball.
