Eugene Sikorski

Services will be at 11 am Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in South Bend for Eugene Sikorski. 54. a retired South Bend police officer who died Tuesday afternoon of a heart attack while driving a school bus on South Bend's far west side. Sikorski. had retired five years ago as a captain from the South Bend Police Department. He was currently working for Vanderheyden Distributing Co.

He was born on Jan 30. 1927. to South Bend, where he lived all his life. On Sept 3. 1449. in South Bend. he married Velma Bokon She survives with a daughter. Miss Mary Sue Sikorski. at home. three sons, Thomas. Denis and Larry all of South Rend. four grandchildren. and a brother. Robert of South Bend.

Rev F Thomas Lallak, pastor of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic church and chaplain for the South Rend Police Department. will officiate. Burial Will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 pm today in the Kaniewski and sons Funeral Home. He was a member and past president of the Achievement Forum and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 36.
