John A. Kaminski

SOUTH BEND — John A. Kaminski, 60, of 25781 Grant Road, owner of Kaminski-Moreen Wholesale Fruit Corp., was found dead of natural causes in his home Saturday evening. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Kaminski was born Nov. 9, 1928, in South Bend and had been a lifelong area resident.

On May 15, 1954, in South Bend, he married Christine "Pat" Kozakiewicz. She died Sept. 30, 1984. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Kay Swartz of South Bend; three sons, John of North Liberty, Michael of Dowagiac and Ronald of South Bend; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Kulwicki and Margie Gray, both of South Bend; and a brother, Peter Jr. of South Bend.

He was an honorary member of the Jokers Club and a member of Murks Club. He was a veteran of the Korean War in which he received the Purple Heart medal.
