March 18, 1929 - April 10, 1997

Joseph A. Jozwiak, 68, of Brick Road, Granger, Ind., died of cancer at 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, in his residence. He was born March 18, 1929, in South Bend, Ind., and had been a lifetime area resident.

Joseph married the former Joyce N. Busick in Partridge, Kan., on July 3, 1955, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Cathy Lockwood and her husband Dr. Michael Lockwood of West Lafayette, Ind.; and by a son, Jeff Jozwiak and his wife Amy of Mishawaka, Ind. Joseph had six grandchildren, Bethany and Olivia Lockwood of West Lafayette, and Jonathan, Jacob, Thomas and Mary Jozwiak, all of Mishawaka. He is survived by his brother Stanley and his wife Delores of South Bend; and by his mother-in-law, Zena Busick of South Hutchinson, Kan.

Joseph was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1992 from the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday. Burial will follow in Harris Prairie Cemetery, Granger. Military graveside services will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 360. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph County Hospice.
