Joseph Goralski - Class Of 1947 VIEW PROFILE

Joseph Goralski

Joseph G. Goralski
February 25, 1929 - September 17, 2021

Joseph (Joe) Goralski, 92, of South Bend, IN passed away peacefully this past Friday after a long and fulfilling life. He was a strong and caring husband, father, and grandfather, who was devoted to his family.
Growing up as the youngest of 6 siblings, Joe was always about family his entire life. He worked at South Bend Lathe for 30 years, retiring in 1993. Joe married Joan (Hoffman) on Nov. 1, 1952 at St. Casimir's Church.

They loved to travel and made their way across the country throughout their lives. Joe was also an avid golfer, and could be found out on the links on a weekly basis and more after his retirement. As his only child, Cheryl and her family were the largest part of his life, always. He doted over his grandsons and gave them all the love and care a grandpa could give. They would often go on trips each year to a new location, with Joe always sharing the history of the destination. He was a history buff in general, especially when it came to WWI and WWII, and served in the Korean War. Joe was a proud member of PNA #83 and the American Legion 284 as well.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose; and his siblings Harry, Phyllis Nagy, Steve, Eleanor and Ted. Joe is survived by his wife, Joan (Hoffman) Goralski; his daughter Cheryl and her husband, Bill Herman; and his grandsons Jim, Joe, and John Herman.

Visitation will be held 10:00am-12:00pm, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00pm on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, Mayflower Road.
