Eugene R. Glod
Eugene Glod, 60, of 3305 Miami Road, died Saturday afternoon in University of Michigan Hospital. following a fall in the shower. He was a retired director of Extended Services at Ivy Tech., following 25 years of service. He was born July 29, 1928, in South Bend, and he lived in the area all of his life.
On Dec. 26. 1950, in South Bend, he married Virginia L. Kober. She survives with a daughter, Patricia Indelicato of Bloomfield, Conn.; three grandchildren; and a brother, Daniel A. of South Bend. A son, Eugene R. Jr., and a brother, Ernest J., preceded him in death.
Services are pending at the McGann Funeral Home. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of South Bend Rotary Club, Phi Delta Kappa and Notre Dame Alumni Association. He was appointed to the Emergency Medical Services Committee by then-Gov. Otis Bowen. Ile was a 1951 graduate of Western Kentucky University.
