Sophie Morris, 72, of W. Monroe St. South Bend, died at 4:53 a.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital. She was b or n December 30, 1928 in South Bend and was the daughter of Joseph and Harriet (Skowron) Dudek.
Mrs. Morris retired in 1996 from Allied Signal Corporation.
On September 17, 1949 in South Bend as Sophie Dudek she was married to Edward P. Morris who preceded her in death on November 24, 1984. She was also preceded in death by a grand-daughter, Kristi Morris and two sisters, Gladys Chrapliwy and Helen Calhoun and three brothers, Bert, Ted and Daniel Dudek. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Morris of South Bend, IN and two sons, Kenneth (Gloria) Morris and Dennis (Debbie) Morris both of South Bend, and four grandchildren, Josh, Laura, Jonathon and Brandon Morris.
Family and friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road where a Rosary will be said at 4:00 PM. Services will be held at 10:00 AM. Monday at St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mrs. Morris was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #357.
