ALBERT A. DHAENE
Albert A. Dhaene July 7, 1928 - Jan. 15, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Albert A. Dhaene, 86, of Westfield, formerly of South Bend, passed away January 15, 2015. Albert was born July 7, 1928, in South Bend, the son of the late Camiel and Lois Dhaene. He married Lillian Szabo on September 2nd, 1950. Lovingly married 62 years, she preceded him in passing on August 7, 2012.
Albert retired from the United States Post Office and Holy Cross College at the age of 70.
He is survived by his children, Denise (John) Lynch, Al Dhaene and Greg (Lois) Dhaene; grandchildren, Jason Lynch, Robert Dhaene, Patricia (James) Martyka, Jennifer (Chris) Johnston, Matthew Dhaene and Patrick Dhaene; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Samantha and Danielle; and brother-in-law, Joseph Pozsgai.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Holy Cross College Chapel, Notre Dame, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana State Police Youth, Education and Historical Center at 8660 East 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219-2562, phone (317) 899-8293. Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan Carmel.
