Frank R. Bojarski

Frank R. Bojarski, 55, a drug company manager who served as town crier of Springfield, Delaware County, died Saturday at Springfield Division of Metropolitan Hospital. He lived in Springfield. Mr. Bojarski, who lived on Foster Drive, Springfield, was Philadelphia district manager for Ayers! Laboratories of New York. To many towns-people, however, he was better known for donning Revolutionary War-style garb and actin the part of town crier at Memorial Day and July Fourth celebrations — a role he first assumed for the observance of the Bicentennial.

He was born in South Bend, IN and was a 1950 graduate of Hanover College in Hanover, IN. He served in the infantry during the Korean War.

Surviving: his wife, the former Dorothy S. Mortell; a son, Frank W.; two daughters, Carol S. Bojarski and Marcia Lee, and one grandchild.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Saxer Avenue, Springfield. Burial at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
