DOROTHY (BIBBS) KIZER
Dorothy Kizer Oct. 21, 1927 - Sept. 6, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Ms. Dorothy Kizer, 87, of Charlotte, NC, a former resident of Rock Hill, SC, entered into rest early the morning of September 6, 2015. She was born October 21, 1927, the daughter of the late William Bibbs and Alice Bibbs-Gillespie. She was a member of Mt. Prospect Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC, as well as an active volunteer in the community.
A graduate of both Washington High School and Indiana School of Nursing in South Bend, IN, she retired after 25 years of outstanding service for St. Joseph Medical Hospital in South Bend, IN, additionally serving 10 equally outstanding years at Golden Acres Retirement community in Dallas, Texas.
Surviving are two children, Carlos Kizer of St. Paul, MN, and Elissa Kizer of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Craig Williams (Candace) of Charlotte, NC, and Monica Pace of Paw Paw, MI; also four great-grand-children; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 141 South Camden Street, South Bend, IN 46619.
