WAKARUSA - Alice S. Wruble, 88, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away on Thursday, January 14th, in Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa. Alice was born on July 13, 1921, in Ghent, Belgium, to Alfonse and Flavie (Duchateau) De Clercq. She was preceded in death by her parents.
On January 3, 1942, in South Bend, she married Marion Wruble, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2003. Surviving Alice are a daughter, Kathryn (Bob) Hillebrand of Granger, IN; three sons, Tom (Linda) Wruble of Plymouth, Tim Wruble of Mishawaka and Terry Wruble (Debra) of South Bend; five grandchildren, Aimee Portteus of Plymouth, Christy Isger of Indianapolis, Jason Wruble and Beth Alkire, both of Mishawaka, and Katelynne Hillebrand of Granger; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roger De Clercq of South Bend.
Alice was a member of the West Side Church of Christ in South Bend.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, January 18, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., with Rev. Larry Ferguson of Plymouth, IN, officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions may be made to Miller's Merry Manor, 300 N.
