Linda K. (Lapkiewicz) Magers

Linda K. (Lapkiewicz) Magers, 52, of Fishers, Ind., was born in South Bend, Ind., on Nov. 3, 1951, and passed away on Wednesday, April 21, in Fishers. She has been an LPN for over 25 years, most recently with Northeast Medical Group, and had also been a hospice volunteer. She was a member of Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church, and was a member of Preferred Choice Hospice and the Indiana Nursing Association. In 2002 she was awarded Hospice Volunteer of the Year for Preferred Choice Hospice. She was a graduate of Ivy Tech Nursing School in South Bend, and was a 1969 graduate of Washington High School in South Bend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Martha Lapkiewicz. 

Linda is survived by her husband, Jerry Magers, who she married on Nov. 6, 1971, and they had celebrated 32-and-a-half years of marriage together. She is also survived by sons, Randal and Jeffrey Magers; brothers, Kenneth and William Lapkiewicz; a sister, Elizabeth DeWlnter; and by a grandson, James Magers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, in Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church, with calling today, April 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. In the Flanner & Buchanan Lawrence Funeral Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Stephen Ministry, do Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church; or to the Community Visiting Nurse Association, 9894 East 121st St., Fishers, IN 46028.
