Eugene J. Pianstki, 54. of Vernon Drive, South Bend, Ind., died at 9:34 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, in Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 30, 1946, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. Mr, Pianstki was employed as a purchasing agent by Hubble Raco since 1964. He was a Vietnam veteran and a member of American Legion Bendix Post 284.

On Oct. 5, 1968, in South Bend, he married Linda Wasikowski, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Beth Pianstki, and a son, Brad Pianstki, both of South Bend; his father, Joseph Pianstki of South Bend; and two sisters, Charlotte (Arthur) Tafelski and Joyce (Charles) Bartley, both of South Bend.

Mr. Pianstki was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn (Odynski) Pianstki.

Family and friends called from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary was said at 4 p.m. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. today in St. Adalbert Catholic Church where he was a member. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Adalbert Catholic Church Building Fund, 2420 W. Huron Street, South Bend, IN 46619.
