Funeral services for Elaine June Richardson, 70, will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2017, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home conducted by Rev. David Daniel, pastor of the First United Methodist Church. 

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with the assistance of Steve Burger, Jerry Privett, Will Weggesser, Keith Morzinski, Lynn Watkins and Robert Whitaker serving as pallbearers.  Honorary bearers include Bob Petz, Paul Almon, Johnnie Crutchfield, Scott Meadows, Barney Allen, Merle Cox, Tracey Sharp and Mike McComber.

The daughter of the late Charles and Helen Nagolski, Elaine died Monday, May 1, 2017 at Mercy Hospital of Ardmore.  She was born June 21, 1946 at South Bend, Indiana, where she grew up and was a graduate of Washington High School, the class of 1964.  She later entered Murray State College where she received an Associate's Degree.

Elaine and James W. Richardson were married March 2, 1990 at Ardmore.  She had been an employee of Wilkinson Nursery and was a customer service representative at Watkins Insurance Agency from 2006 to 2016. 

Active in the Democratic Party, Elaine had been President of the Carter County Federation of Democratic Women.  A volunteer at Mercy Hospital of Ardmore, Elaine was of Catholic faith and in her leisure time bowled in several leagues.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Richardson, her daughter, Sheila Burger, a son, Keith Morzinski, two sisters, Judy Barnard and Marsha Livengood, a brother, Don Nagolski, grandchildren Casey, Christopher and Corbin Burger; two step-daughters, Cheryl Privett and her husband, Jerry, and Judy Weggesser; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Privett, Nikolaus, Nathan and William Weggesser; also her life-long friend, Karen Turner and her husband, John.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ardmore Animal Shelter, or the charity of choice.

A time of visitation and support for family and friends will be Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hdouglasfuneralhome.com.
