ROBERT STOKES

SOUTH BEND - Robert Stokes, age 61, of South Bend, was born on January 9, 1951. He accepted Christ at an early age.

Robert played football, basketball, and ran track before graduating from South Bend-Washington High School.

He worked as a security guard for the University of Notre Dame for approximately 15 years, and also volunteered at the South Bend Community Center and LaSalle Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Troy Stokes, a brother, Dean Stokes, a sister, Susan (Eric) Lockwook, three nephews, one niece, and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lula Stokes and Mose Stokes, and two brothers, James Stokes and Dennis Stokes.

His memorial will be held on Friday, January 27th, at 11:00 am at Alfrod's Mortuary, located at 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, IN 46601.
