NANCY M. (FOX) RIFFLE
Nancy Riffle Aug. 17, 1952 - May 24, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Nancy Marie Virginia (Fox) Riffle, 62, residing in South Bend, IN, passed away at 6:30 PM Sunday, May 24, 2015, at her home. Nancy was born on Aug. 17, 1952, in South Bend, Indiana, to Thomas J. Fox, Sr. and Mary Catherine (Lockhart) Foreman. Her father, Thomas J. Fox, Sr., has preceded her in death along with sister, Catherine Ann (Fox) Porter; sister and brother-in-law, Susan & Ronald Brzezinski; brother, Thomas J. Fox, Jr.; and the father of her children, Robert E. Riffle Sr.
Nancy attended South Bend Washington High School, graduating in 1971.
Nancy cherished her role as a homemaker. She worked for several years at Burton's Laundry and as a private caregiver.
Nancy is survived by sons, Robert (Chana Medina) Riffle, Jr. and Maynard L. (Amy) Riffle, both of Mishawaka; her niece/daughter, Cyndi Armstrong; four grandchildren, Haley Riffle, Allyson Riffle, Sabrina Riffle, and Steven Dermer; sister, Barbara (Phillip) Bour of Mishawaka; brothers, James (Mary) Fox of Goshen, IN, Terry Foremen and Michael Foreman, both of South Bend; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews throughout the South Bend and Mishawaka areas.
Funeral services for Nancy will be held at 8:00 PM Friday, May 29, 2015, at Palmer Funeral Home River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4:00 PM 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place on Monday at Fairview Cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home River Park, and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
