CAROL A. (OLSZEWSKI) MARTIN

Carol A. Martin April 4, 1944 - Sept. 12, 2015 WALKERTON - Carol A. Martin, 71, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the Center for Hospice Care of St. Joseph County. Carol was born April 4, 1944, in South Bend, to the late Allen and Anne Olszewski. On June 26, 1965, Carol married Terry Martin. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2015.

Survivors of Carol include her children, Sarah (Brian Cochran) Martin of Mishawaka, Charles (Rena Holmes) Martin of Walkerton; grandchildren, Martin Cochran of Mishawaka, Caleb, Eben and Cora Martin of Walkerton; brother, Allen Olszewski of Chippewa Lake, OH; and sister-in-law, Sherry (Stanley) Krukowski of Norman, OK.

Carol was a graduate of Washington High School, and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Purdue and her Master's Degree from Indiana University of South Bend.

She spent 30 years growing geraniums and other annuals in the family business. Carol loved traveling with her family out west to the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Alaska in their RV. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Visitation for Carol will be 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 15, 2015, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
