WILLIAM H. TOFTHAGEN

SOUTH BEND - William H. Tofthagen, 69, passed away at 9:52 pm on Friday, October 12, 2012, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. Bill was born on July 29, 1943, in Madison, WI, to the late William and Gladys (Golder) Toft-hagen. Bill was also preceded in death by sisters, Noreene Dilley and Luella Yoder, and by a brother, James.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; sons, Larry Tofthagen and Gary Tofthagen; granddaughter, Abbey Tofthagen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill graduated from Washington High School and worked as a Courier for the South Bend Medical Foundation. Bill was self-employed with Cooks Enterprise for 38 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 357. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, hunting, poker, and would feed the birds and squirrels every morning.
Visitation will be from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, Oct 17, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A funeral service will begin at 7 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at a later date. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
