Joyce Ann (Walsh) Bernas

SOUTH BEND - Joyce Ann Bernas, 66, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016, in the Hospice of St. Joseph County.

Joyce was born December 3, 1949, in South Bend, to the late Patrick and Wava (Douglas) Walsh.

On September 16, 1972, in South Bend, Joyce married her loving husband, Larry Bernas, who survives along with their son, Paul Bernas; grandson, Bryan Bernas; sister, Carol (Serge) Romero; brother, Alan (Lynn) Walsh; three nieces and five nephews.

Joyce was a graduate of Washington High School.

She enjoyed old rock and roll music, racing, dancing, watching figure skating, Notre Dame Hockey and Girls Basketball, and making floral arrangements. Joyce also enjoyed making lap quilts and going to lunch with the church ladies.

Visitation for Joyce is 10:00 am to 1:30 pm, Friday, May 6, 2016, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with a Funeral Ceremony to be begin at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
