Janet N. (Willman) Reed

Janet N. Reed, 84, of Bristol, passed away Wednesday Oct. 20, 2021, at Center for Hospice Care Raclin House in Mishawaka.

She was born Dec. 11, 1936, in Hartford City, Indiana, to Kenneth R. and Marguerite E. Willman. She married Philip B. Reed in Illinois on April 19, 1958.

Janet received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Purdue University and was a teacher at Washington High School and also worked in Audio Visual and Athletic Department at Concord High School. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Elkhart General Pink Ladies and the Elk's Club.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Philip, their children, Michael P. Reed of Bristol and Shelley L. (Jack) Wilkerson of Brentwood, Tennessee, grandchildren: Katelin J. Wilkerson, Michael R. Reed, Emma J. (Chris) Nunez, Jake A. Wilkerson and Sarah J. (Connor) Durbin, great-grandson Robert F. Nunez; siblings: Bryce K. (Barbara) Willman, Melba E. Schooley, Nolan Willman and Carol A. (Max) Millspaugh. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Robert Schooley and sister-in-law Joanne Willman.

A Celebration of Janet's Life will be at noon Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where friends may visit one hour before services. Sister Nora Frost will officiate.
