Jacqueline "Jackie" A. Berg, known affectionately as Jackie to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on July 15, 1950, in South Bend, Indiana, Jackie was a lifelong resident of the area, eventually settling in Mishawaka, Indiana, where she would spend her final years surrounded by the love and warmth of those she held dear.

Jackie graduated in 1968 from Washington High School.

Jackie was the cherished daughter of the late Clifford John Becker and Helen Mae (Huhtala) Becker. She was a beloved wife to her devoted husband, Kerry Berg, with whom she shared a life full of joy and companionship. Jackie's memory will be treasured by her sister, Trudy Keltz, and her brother, Curt Becker, along with his wife, Cathy. She was also a dear sister-in-law to Gayle Becker. Jackie was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Becker, whose memory remained close to her heart.

Throughout her life, Jackie was a pillar of kindness and support in her community. She dedicated many years as a teacher's aide within the South Bend Community School Corporation, where she touched the lives of countless students with her patience, wisdom, and nurturing spirit. Her commitment to education and the well-being of children was evident in every classroom she entered, leaving a legacy of learning and love that will not be forgotten.

Jackie's zest for life was paralleled by her passion for arts and crafts. Her creativity knew no bounds, and she found joy in the simple pleasures of creating beautiful things by hand. Her artwork and crafts were not only a testament to her talent but also a reflection of her generous heart, often gifting her creations to those she loved.

A social butterfly, Jackie's presence was a source of happiness at every gathering. She had an uncanny ability to light up a room with her smile and laughter. Her love for her family and friends was immense, and she nurtured each relationship with care and dedication. Jackie's life was a tapestry of the connections she made and the lives she enriched through her unwavering kindness and empathy.

Funeral Services for Jackie will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church 51490 Laurel Rd. South Bend, IN 46637.  Friends may visit with family from 10:00 am until the start of Service.  Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Palmer Funeral Homes – Welsheimer North Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church 51490 Laurel Rd. South Bend, IN 46637.
