E'Thurel Patterson Ivory Jr.

SOUTH BEND - On the early afternoon of Friday, July 25, 2008, at approximately 2:40 p.m., our dear loved one, Mr. E'Thurel P. Ivory Jr., 59, passed away in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Indiana and is now at peace after suffering an extended illness. He was a resident of Alonzo Watson Drive.

Terry entered this life on October 27, 1948, in South Bend, to the union of E'Thurel Patterson Ivory Sr., and Alice Delores (Cobb) Ivory. Terry grew up in South Bend where he completed his education at Washington High School. He enjoyed music, traveling, reading and working on cars. He was a loving father and brother and was loved by all who knew him. One could always look to Terry for some supportive words, a shoulder to lean on and plenty of laughs.

His memory will long be cherished by his wife and children, Brenda Ivory and three daughters, Alesia Ivory, Marsha Duckworth and KaTina (John) Plump-Dillard of South Bend; eight sons, E'Thurel (Lisa) Ivory III, Eric Ivory, and Rodrick (Jennifer) Ivory, all of South Bend, James Terrance of Yazoo, MS, William O'Brien Ivory of Niles, MI, Maurice (Cynthia) Burton, Mark Duckworth and Dennis Jones, all of South Bend; 42 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Marilyn Easton, Bobby "Lee" Day and Jacquelyn (Johnnie) Moody, all of South Bend, and Patricia (Michael) Fisher of Green Bay, WI; three brothers, Sheldon R. Ivory and Carlton E. Ivory, Sr. of South Bend and Keith (DeAnne) Ivory, Sr. of Ft. Wayne, IN; a god-daughter, Clarice Davis of South Bend; and a special companion, Ms. May; along with other relatives and friends.

Family members who preceded him in death were his parents, Alice Ivory and E'Thurel Patterson Ivory, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Robert O'Brien Cobb; and paternal grandparents, Grant and Magnolia Ivory.
