Theodore Stefaniak

Theodore Stefaniak; 64, of 2026 S. Brookfield, died at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He retired from the New Jersey, Indiana and Illinois Railroad where he had been employed for 37 years. Born on Aug. 10, 1919, in South Bend, he lived here all his life.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church, with Rev. Eugene J. Kazmierczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. in the St. Joseph Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

In 1938, he was in the first graduating class of Washington High School
