Connie Christine (Chandonia) Curtis
Aug. 15, 1946 – June 13, 2007
MISHAWAKA — Connie Christine (Chandonia) Curtis, 60 years young, began her new life in heaven on June 13, 2007.
She is survived by her mother, Eugenia Chandonia of South Bend; her children, Pamala Ann (Curtis) Lawrence of Deltona, FL, Robert Carl Curtis Jr.of Mishawaka and Kristi Lynn Curtis, also of Mishawaka; her grandchildren, Kori Robert Curtis and Samantha Lynn Curtis, both of Mishawaka, Caitlin Ann Lawrence of Deltona and Aubreigh Lynn Morgan of Mishawaka; a sister, Sheila Baroody of Winchester, VA, and Claudette Chandonia of Washington, D.C.; a son-in- law, Patrick Lawrence; and a daughter-in-law, Jessie Curtis, and her ex-husband, Robert Curtis Sr.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jon Charles Chandonia; her sister, Carol K.Strickler; and by an infant son, John Robert.
She was a Washington High School graduate and was employed by Product Action in Mishawaka as a project manager. Connie was a loving mother and lived her life making sure her children’s needs were met. She was very close to her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Connie was diagnosed with lung cancer in February and passed away peacefully surrounded by many family members who loved her.
Connie’s family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today, June 16, in Bubb Funeral Chapel, with a Catholic service to be held at 7 p.m.Connie will rest in peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
