Steven Craig Jones (Logan)

Steven Craig Jones (Logan), 63, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday August 29th at Saint Joseph Regional Hospital, in Mishawaka Indiana.

Steven affectionately known as Steve was born August 3rd, 1961, in South Bend, Indiana, to Doris L. Jones and Willie M. Logan, whom both proceeded him in death. Steve was a lifelong resident of South Bend and educated by the South Bend School Corporation, attending Washington High School. He worked for Mittler Supply as a laborer for many years. Steve was a dad, brother, uncle, and friend. He was kind-hearted and giving; anyone that knew him, knows he loved his car and listening to music.

Steve is survived by two sons, Joshua, and Steven Nutter, both of South Bend, Four sisters, Kimberly Logan, Charone Logan, Charlotte Logan, and Ebony Nailon-Ewing, all of South Bend, Three brothers, Durrond Logan, of Cleveland, Ohio,  Dr. Willard Todd Nailon Jr. (Stephanie), of Indianapolis, In., and Demetrius “Duke” Logan, of South Bend, Indiana, Nieces,  Brandi Smith, of South Bend, Lauren (Chris) Edison and Alexis Nailon of Phoenix, Arizona, and Kaitlynn Nailon, of Indianapolis, In., Two great-nieces, Brooklyn Williams and Bra’Niah  Wells, one great-nephew, Bre’Sean Peters, all of South Bend, Special friends, David McGee, Al Jefferies, Ron, and Percy, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Steve was proceeded in death by his son, Anthony Logan, brother, Eric Logan, and sister Tina Logan, maternal grandfather, Clark Jones, maternal aunt, Grace Jones.

Funeral services have been entrusted to: Palmer Funeral Home- West Chapel, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, IN 46628. Service will be held Friday, September 13th, 2024, at 12:00pm, with visitation 11:00am.
