Edward H. Leichtman
June 1 , 1 951 - June 4, 2005
Edward H. Leichtman, 54, of Pulaski, South Bend, passed away at 3:25 P.M. Saturday, June 4, 2005, in the Fort Wayne Veterans Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. Edward retired from the Bendix Corporation after 16 years of service and then worked for Allied Precision as a machinist for another 16 years.
He was born on June 1 , 1951, in South Bend, to the late Elmer B. and Delores (Pingle) Leichtman, and had been a lifelong area resident. On November 23, 1970, in South Bend, he married Franceska "Frenchy" (Tyks) Leichtman, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Micdanieo V.M. (Sharhonda) Campbell-Leichtman of Jacksonville, FL; two sons, Edward H. (Carolyn) Leichtman II of Sheffield Lake, OH, and Frederick A.C. (Sabrina) Leichtman of Sturgis, Ml. There are eight grandchildren, Victoria Rose, Anthony, Brittany, Samantha, Kathleen and Elizabeth Leichtman, and Kevin and Cayla Campbell. In addition, there are two sisters, Linda (Terry) Kincaid of Florida and Pam (Chris) Smith of LaPorte, IN; four brothers, Larry of Arizona, Ron (Rebecca) of Florida, Barry (Debbie) of Granger and Kenneth (Rebecca) of South Bend.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 9, 2005, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to defray their expenses.
Edward was a graduate from Washington High School in South Bend. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He was an avid Notre Dame football fan. He loved his entire family and will be greatly missed.
