PIENIAZKIEWICZ - Services for Robert Peter Pieniazkiewicz, 33, of 51881 U.S. 31 N., who died at 12:45 a.m. Saturday in Pawating Hospital, Niles, after a two-car crash at Ontario Rd. and U.S. 31. about one mile north of the Indiana State line, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Christ the King Catholic Church with Rev. Stanley Rdzok, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

He was a foreman at the Oliver Corp. for four years. He was a member of the Oliver Management Club.

He was born Oct. 24, 1935, in South Bend.

On Feb. 8, 1964, he married Jo Marie Hite, who survives, along with a stepson, James Edward, at home; his father, Peter of Niles; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lottie Lewinski of South Bend; a brother, Ralph A. of South Bend; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Nurton of Norfolk, Va.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday.

He was a member of the South Bend Musicians Assn. and the American Bowling Congress.

NILES - Robert Pieniazkiewicz, 33, of 51881 U.S. 31 N., South Bend, was pronounced dead on arrival at Pawating Hospital, Niles, the victim of a two-car crash. The accident occurred at 12:45 a.m. today at Ontario Rd. and U.S. 31 about one mile north of the Indiana state line. Michigan State Police said the accident occurred when the westbound car on Ontario St. was driven onto the highway in front of a northbound car. State police quoted witnesses in a third automobile as saying the Pieniazkiewicz car failed to stop at the intersection. Police stated Richmond suffered a compound fracture of the right arm and was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

A passenger in the northbound automobile, was taken to Memorial Hospital. State police said she suffered cuts and bruises.
