Michael Richard Peli Sr.

MISHAWAKA, IN - Michael Peli Sr., 85, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2021 in his residence with his family by his side.

Michael was born on September 28, 1935 in South Bend, IN to John and Elizabeth (Kovach) Peli.

On October 28, 1956 in South Bend, Michael married Barbara Joyce Rushlow. Barbara preceded Michael in death on February 4, 2012.

Michael is survived by two daughters, Laura (David) Szianfucht and Patricia (Kurt) Andrzejewski; three sons, Daniel (Lori) Peli, Michael (Laurie) Peli Jr., and Timothy (Kelly) Peli, along with 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Michael was also preceded in death by a son, David Peli on October 19, 2015, his parents, and thirteen brothers and sisters.

Michael was kind and gentle, soft spoken, and always made sure he had everyone's best interest at heart. These qualities endeared him to all who knew and loved him. Michael worked as a machinist for Crown International for over 20 years before he retired. He loved fishing, the Chicago Cubs and the Indianapolis Colts. He enjoyed TV game shows and old western TV shows and movies.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.

Palmer Funeral Home - Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka is handling the arrangements.
