Donald J. Jerzak

Donald J. Jerzak, 70, of Oliver Street, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Mr. Jerzak retired from AM General in 1999, was a U.S. Army veteran, and was a member of the D.F.V. German Club and the St. Anthony Sick Benefit Society.

Don was born on Sept. 26, 1933, in South Bend, Ind., to Joseph and Florence (Dabros) Jerzak.

Surviving are two sisters, Esther Booth of Auburn, Mass., and Beverly Sieczko of South Bend; three brothers, William (Mary) Jerzak and Marion (Alice) Jerzak, both of Lansing, Mich., and Richard Jerzak of South Bend; his special companion, Theresa Stevens, and her child, Dillion; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Ave. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
