Patricia M. Talboom

Sept. 7, 1935 - July 26, 2005

Patricia M. Talboom, 69, of Ford Street, South Bend, passed away after a brief illness at 8:22 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, in Memorial Hospital. 

She was born on Sept. 7, 1935, in South Bend, to Elek and Cecelia (Kish) Boosi, who preceded her in death along with seven brothers and sisters. On Dec. 22, 1961, in South Bend, Patricia married James A. Talboom Sr., who passed away on Feb. 4, 2005. Also deceased are two sons, Thomas Talboom, who passed away in 1975, and Jeff Talboom, who passed away in 1984.

Patricia is survived by two daughters, Sheryl (Rodney) Strozewski of South Bend and Pamela (Dennis) Lim of South Bend; a son, James (Betsy) Talboom Jr. of South Bend; 11 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren; and two sisters, Elizabeth (Carl) Granning and Irene (Ken) Martin, both of South Bend.

Patricia was the owner of Pat's Furniture Restoration. She also had a booth at the Antique Avenue Mall where she had specialized in caning and rushing with antique furniture restoration. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 30, from 1 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. in ST.

JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 30, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Gardens, Granger. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. The family would like to thank Dr. Arnold Del Pilar, the staff at Michiana Hematology & Oncology, and the staff at Memorial 10 South for their kindness..
