David Carl Honer Jr.

January 28, 1994 ~ January 2, 2024 (age 29)

David Carl Honer Jr. died unexpectedly on January 2nd, 2024. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, & friend. From all of his family & friends, he will be deeply missed. David Jr. was born on January 28th, 1994. David Jr. was born to David Carl Honer Sr. & birth mother Denise McMiller.  He was raised by his dad David Sr., grandmother Ethel Olivia Honer, & 2 stepmothers Evelyn Palmer & Rosie King Honer along with the help of other family members.

David Jr. was a powerful young man. He was his father’s heart; a pure joy from the time his mom conceived him. David Jr. had internal challenges that he found difficult to face, which is between him & God. David Jr. also had a natural ability to bring a smile or a frown to the face of people. His determination to survive, forged when he fought tooth and nail through the womb, which gradually became his undeniable trademark. Some knew him as Deebo a.k.a. Huncho.

David Jr. attended Greene Middle School and Washington High School in South Bend, Indiana. He grew up enjoying these things: football, music, fishing, camping, horseback riding and his summer vacation to Buffalo, New York. David’s determining spirit and contagious laughter could put out or light up any room. David Jr. was determined to relocate to New York immediately upon reaching the age of 18 to reunite with his birth mother. He continued to live on his journey into adulthood that has now come to an unexpected death as we now celebrate his life.

He was preceded in death by (grandmother) Ethel Olivia Honer, (brother) Dominic Revere, (brother) Anthony Wilson, (uncle) Johnny Honer (cousin) Phil Honer. David Jr. is survived by his siblings Jamie Revere, Diamond McMiller, Anita Huff, Felicia Fowlkes, Feticia Thompson, Mia Diggins (Wilson), Kenneth Anderson, Cliniqua Kyle, & Endiga Greene (Bradford) & a heap of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would like to express their appreciation for all the love, support, and condolences received during this difficult time. David Jr. will forever remain in our hearts, and he will be remembered for his extraordinary spirit
