Arthur J. Knapp
Arthur J. Knapp, 54, of 56297 Orchid, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov 25, 1977, in Memorial Hospital, following a year's illness. He was employed for 23 years at the ITT Building Services. He was born May 5, 1923, Bend, where he lived his lifetime.
On Jan. 17, 1948. in South Bend, he married Ruth Jozwiak, who survives with four sons, Thomas of South Bend, and William, Randal and Ronald. all at home; five daughters, Mrs. Karen Nelson, Mrs. Becky Donovan and Mrs. Charlene Shumber, all of South Bend, and Michelle and Pammy Sue, both at home; two grandchildren. and two sisters. Mrs. 'Alice Szynski and Mrs. Virginia Peczkowski, both of South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Daniel E. Piel, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Knapp was a veteran of World War II, and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9820 and the Teamsters Union
